“Give to Gain” – Celebrating Women Through Creativity and Teamwork

In conjunction with International Women’s Day 2026, the Miclebina Group of Companies organized a meaningful and engaging handicraft workshop for the women across the group. The event took place on 7 March 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Big Apple 1 Seminar Hall, Manhattan Hotel, Ipoh, bringing together 19 women staff members from different departments and companies within the group.

The workshop was organized and facilitated by the Human Resources team, as part of the company’s commitment to appreciating the contributions of women while fostering stronger connections within the organization.

A Creative Afternoon of Bonding

The activity for the afternoon was a fuzzy wire craft session, where participants learned to create beautiful lily flowers using fuzzy wires. The women were divided into five teams, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and a touch of friendly competition.

Each participant was challenged to contribute one handcrafted flower, symbolizing both individual creativity and collective teamwork. By the end of the session, the room was filled with colourful handmade lilies, each representing the effort and spirit of the women who created them.

Beyond the craft itself, the session became a wonderful bonding opportunity, allowing colleagues from different departments to interact, share ideas, and support one another in completing their creations.

Reflecting the Theme: “Give to Gain”

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” was beautifully reflected throughout the workshop. Participants shared their time, creativity, and encouragement with one another. In return, they gained not only new skills but also stronger friendships and a deeper appreciation for teamwork.

The activity reminded everyone that when we give support, patience, and collaboration, we gain stronger relationships, confidence, and collective success.

Just as each fuzzy wire lily required careful shaping and teamwork, the growth of a company also thrives when individuals come together, share their strengths, and support one another.
